HELP WANTED – Part Time Garbage Truck Driver

The Public Works Department requires a temporary part-time truck driver with class 5 license.

Hours may be limited to Wednesday and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The duties are bi-weekly garbage pickup and landfill monitoring.

This is an outside, all weather job; which is physically demanding and requires the successful applicant to be in good health.

Applicants must have safety footwear and rain gear.

Applicants must submit a copy of their current driver’s abstract and driver’s license.

There is a high risk of injury due to:

  • Falling through the deck
  • Falling over the edge
  • Falling on uneven surfaces

The more space we give the bridge builders, the safer and quicker they can do their job.

Sugarloaf Bridge Update – June 2nd

Work on the Sugarloaf Bridge Replacement Project begins on MONDAY, JUNE 5th!

This means the Bridge will be CLOSED to vehicle, bike, and foot traffic.

Participate in the Village Travel Survey for a chance to win $50!

The Village is looking for volunteers to participate in a travel survey to help us better understand how residents use local road infrastructure, as well as how much travel must happen outside the Village to meet everyday needs. Employment Opportunity: Part-Time Receptionist

The Village of Zeballos requires a part-time receptionist to assist staff. This position will be 12 hours a week starting mid-April. The position is for 20 weeks but could be extended as the need arises.

You are a motivated individual with great interpersonal skills. You have a can-do attitude and are able to adapt to changes quickly. You practice confidentiality and professionalism at your job.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), you will provide office support as directed. Other tasks could include coordination of special events, website maintenance and research projects etc.
