Join the Village of Zeballos and the Ehattesaht/Chinehkint First Nation in the largest earthquake drill in the province!
At 10:18 am on Thursday, October 18th you will hear the TSUNAMI SIRENS sound. This is your cue to start the earthquake drill.
1. Drop, cover and hold on! Count to 60 in your holding position.
2. Next, grab your evacuation kit and proceed to your evacuation site. Please note: FOR THIS EXERCISE, Zeballos East side residents will evacuate to the West side, beyond the Tsunami Zone signage as you leave town.
3. Once you’ve reached your evacuation site, come to the Zeballos Community Hall to share your thoughts, questions and concerns with members of the Emergency Programs.
