Join us for an Emergency Evacuation Drill!

Date: Thursday March 8th, 2018

Time: 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM

Situation: The Ehattesaht First Nation and the Village of Zeballos will be conducting an Emergency Evacuation Drill to practice for a major earthquake and tsunami event. Your support and participation will be greatly appreciated! To start the drill, we will sound both tsunami warning sirens, and will post an alert on Facebook saying “Exercise, Exercise, Exercise” Evacuation Drill begins now!

Intended Outcomes:

  • Stronger community awareness of what evacuations look like.
  • Better family emergency preparedness.

We ask that you and your family:

  1. Drop, Cover, and Hold On for 1 minute before evacuating.
  2. Proceed to your nearest evacuation site, and check in with the volunteer emergency crew. Those who check in will be eligible to receive a door prize!
  3. Come to the Zeballos Community Hall for a hog dog lunch and door prizes!
